2011 World Amateur Chess Championship's eighth round has been completed around 21.15 pm. Timur Ozdemir did not lose any game until he was defeated by another Turkish player Ali Bulent Ozveren before the final round. Ozdemir is sharing the first place with Sumiya Bilguun from Mongolia and Ali Bulent Ozveren. All of them have 6,5 points after eight games.
